Accessible Transportation Door-to-Door

Accessible Transportation offers door-to-door transportation for persons who are physically disabled, visually impaired or frail, elderly individuals.

Experienced drivers take turns, driving the vehicle and assisting clients with getting them to medical appointments, shopping, church, school or other destinations.

Eligibility will be determined on an individual basis by assessment. Applications can be picked up at the office or one can be mailed out to the client’s home.

Escorts/companions maybe required during the trip and can ride at no cost.

• Reservations in advance are required
• There is a small fee for each ride taken and billed on a monthly basis
• Cancellation of a reservation is required by 3:00 p.m. on the prior business day. This is necessary to cover overhead costs and to provide others with the opportunity to use the service. Last minute cancellations will be billed!

TRANSPORTATION FOR OUT OF TOWN MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS

If you are 60 years or older and mobile.Visually impaired/hearing impaired and mobile you are eligibile for our new service for appointments out of town.

We serve the areas within Timmins, Sudbury and North Bay.

Rides are to be booked through the office 2 weeks prior to appointment date by calling the office @ 672-2254 or 1-800-361-5820.

Escort are permitted if the client requires personal care or aide.Ride with the client at no extra cost.
